Akothee is not your ordinary drama queen, apart from being an arguably prolific Kenyan singer, she has a big heart for charity. Just at the onset of 2019 the Yuko Moyoni brainchild has taken up a noble project of helping two needy KCPE candidates raise school fees in order to join high school. In Akothee’s new initiative, the artist has called upon all celebrities and willing Kenyans to help the “Boy Child” by donating money for school fees or any other form of assistance to these two boys.

Gabriel Miseda Ogweno and Julius Taiko first came into the limelight after the Daily Nation published their sad stories.  Gabriel scored a whopping 440 marks in last year’s (2018) KCPE and emerged the third best candidate in Kajiado Region. On the other hand, Julius Taiko achieved 372 marks which are also some good marks especially judging from the fact that he comes from from a humble background.

Actually, both boys come from humble backgrounds which couldn’t afford fancy private schools for their primary education. After performing exemplary well in their end of primary exams, the boys are hopeful that through the help of well-wishers like Akothee they will join their dream high schools.

As of now Akothee pays school fees for a number of needy students in the country and in her own words, her hands are full. She however shared a post on social media calling upon other celebs to help her finance Gabriel’s and Julius’s education. Here is what she had to say:
