Jamaica’s rather controversial bigshot Vybz Kartel teams up with rapper Afro B and drops new track tagged Shape Nice. The jam is a fine blend of dancehall, hip hop and, Afro-pop and also has a touch of American sounds. Afro B who hails from London hit the airwaves in late last year when he released the song Drogba. This was an accolade to the famous Ivorian footballer Didier Drogba.
The song Shape Nice was produced by New York’s based producer Dre Skul. He unites the two artists to try and capture both vocals and sounds of the two genres. Dre Skull is an American songwriter, DJ and producer and the founder of Mixpak Records. The producer is well known for his work with big artists like Wizkid, Davido, Kartel, and Popcaan among others.
Vybz Kartel’s Clarks song became a huge hit in 2010. Despite the fact that he was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder charges, his name hasn’t faded in the dancehall industry. Vybz still continues to release more songs. He will be eligible for parole after he has served at least 35 years in jail.
